Im happy they nurfed .........
It's funny no one is every happy when they mention the word nerf, how ever the reason for nerfing somthing usually is to close a game exploit or make things more fair.... It seems when people cant take advantage they get angry...
Personally I like "Nurf" as it takes me back to my child hood where I was a lill lad running around looking at smurfs. As I got older though my transformers rebeled against the smurfs and formed and anti-smurfing-regime. Needless to say that because the smurfs were small and blue, and the only female smurf had just recently had an operation. The once happy land of the smurfs was quickly squashed by the heavy hand of the transformers.
Every time a smurf would hear a transformer comming he would "ssssssssh" his friends to be quiet. Gradually the smurfs became more and more lazy and the "H" in the "sssssssh" was lost so it was just "ssssssssss". Now because of this all remaining smurfs have a fear of the letter s, and a speach impedement that makes thier m's sound like n's.
And it is because of this reason the word nerf is so frequently thrown around on the internet..... in memory of a heavely opressed race of little blue people.
Thank you for your time.....

Rubbish, it makes things MORE UNFAIR, because others have already been there and done that, and guess what? You will never ever catch up again.

So you advocate leaving things broken? Even then, no one will catch up, because no one is going to stop the people that did it first, and do it more. Also, there's always going to be another 'trick,' a perfect example being the grenth's gank. There are already new ways to gank, some a lot more creative, but it hasn't stopped. Personally, I feel that respawns should stop when the lord dies (he acts like a priest, for example), but you have to kill all 8 of the other team, as well. Not to mention, what do you mean by catch up? In terms of faction? It's still easy to get, not to mention it doesn't have any rewards exclusive to PvP.

I still don't understand how people think ganking isn't a valid strategy.
They rush.
Lord dies.
Maybe you should have had more than just 1 necromancer on defense?
And by "catch up" he might be talking about gold. There are quite a few people with over 500k in gold. With the anti-farming stance Anet seems to be taking, how are the other players supposed to catch up? And etc...
In my opinion, nerfing shouldn't be done. It almost always ends badly. One class is over-powered? Nerf. Now it's underpowered but since it was once overpowered and then nerfed, there's no point in fixing it. Nerf the rest of the classes.
A class can be used to solo a whole lot of mobs through a creative combo of skills? Well, that can't be right. Let's punish their ingenuity by making it impossible to do that with disenchants. Yay, no more farming. Oh, wait, with so many disenchants, what's the point of using enchantments? Well, there goes that attribute line.
And... Isn't it "nerf"? As in, make things soft like Nerf products? Never did like Smurfs. They were never up to any good. Very suspicious bunch. I think they drank too much Draino.

Ganking is a valid strategy, using a buggy skill however is a little hole that needs to be closed. nothing says your guild can't continue to rush the GL in an attempt to wipe him out nice and quickly though.

afaik 'nerf' comes from the manufacturer of those foam-firing toy guns, a metaphor of reducing a killing weapon into something harmless. Nothing to do with smurfs.

You insult people that have alittle ambition to make a few bucks on the side, and then you call it a joke when people call you on it. Seems to me your just on of the few people who HASN'T found a god farming spot so far, so your either jealous, angry, or frustrated or all of the above. having a farming spot isn't an exploit. It isn't the game being "broken" either. If you want money, go out and earn it like the rest of us. just because you spend an entire day going through missions, or FOW, or UW runs and earn a max or 10k, and we go through the day and make about 250k, doesn't mean the game is gimped. it means you need to catch up with the people who know how to work it.
